Specific information about the website

Cookies

Some of our web pages use so-called cookies. These are text files sent by the web server to the user’s browser and stored there for later retrieval. They do not store any personal information there. Some cookies are necessary to provide certain functions on the site (such as the shopping cart) and are stored automatically. Others are optional (e.g. for Google Analytics) and require your explicit consent. You can prevent the use of cookies in general if you set your browser to disallow the storage of cookies. However, by disabling cookies, some important features (e.g. the shopping cart on our site) may not function properly.

Transmission of data

In the following section, we will inform you of the various places on our website where you can voluntarily provide us with your personal data. Your encrypted data will be transmitted to our web server first and then to us. For one year, the data transmitted to us via our website will be stored in a specific data backup database on our web server for data backup purposes, then the data will be deleted automatically.

Shopping cart

Your shopping cart is saved on our server and can be viewed by us. In addition to the articles, the information you provide during checkout step 2 (invoice and delivery address, payment method, delivery method and other information) is saved. Your shopping cart is assigned to you (or your browser) via a cookie in your browser with a unique ID. As long as you do not enter any personal data during checkout step 2, the shopping cart cannot be assigned to you personally. You can empty your shopping cart at any time, empty the completed fields (and save them empty) as well as delete cookies in your browser to remove the link to your shopping cart. Shopping carts that have not been submitted will be deleted from our server one year after it was last changed.

Instalment payment

If you select “instalment payment” as your payment method during checkout, we will forward your address details (postal address and e-mail address) to easyCredit / Teambank AG in the next step. Before you make an enquiry via the easyCredit website, to which you will be redirected to find out whether instalment payment is an option for you, you can access the “Information about contract-related processing”, which will inform you of all the companies receiving your data for the credit decision.

Contact form

We need you to provide us with your last name and e-mail address via our contact form on our website to address you personally and answer your enquiry. Only when your enquiry results in us e.g. sending you a non-committal customised quote or in the shipping of wood samples will your data be stored in our customer file.

Online survey

With your order, you will receive a code that allows you to take part in a brief survey on our website. Please note that both your customer ID and your name are required to participate. Further information, such as answers to our survey questions, is optional. We will link your provided information to your master data in our customer file to be used in any future purchase consultations and to assign the coupon, a token of our appreciation you will receive for taking the survey.

Second hand page

On our second hand page, you can offer your pre-loved Billi-Bolli children’s furniture for sale. We need at least a telephone number or an e-mail address in addition to your location so that interested parties can contact you. This personal information – as well as the picture of the offer you uploaded – will be published with the corresponding offer. You are free to choose the offer title, description text and other optional details, while following the guidelines of our publishing form. Once we receive your feedback that your offer is sold, we will promptly mark it as such while also removing your contact details from the page. We may publish your feedback, including your name, below your original offer, which we generally keep on the page. At any time, we will comply with your request to remove your name, your feedback or the entire listing from the site. Unsold offers will be completely removed from the page after 1 year.

Catalogue request

You can request our free print catalogue directly from our website. In order to deliver this service, we require you to provide us with your postal address as well as your e-mail address for eventual delivery queries. This information is only used by us in order to deliver the print catalogue and will be deleted after a period of 6 months the latest.

Newsletter and Second hand notification

To register for our newsletter you must provide us with a valid e-mail address. Additional data will not be collected. We use the so-called “Double-Opt-in” method to prevent unwanted registration of your e-mail address by third parties. After entering your e-mail address we will send you an automatic confirmation e-mail, in which you are asked to click a designated link to confirm that you would like to receive newsletters. Your permission for the storage of your e-mail address as well as its use for the purpose of sending the newsletter will be held by us for as long as you remain subscribed. At any time you can revoke your consent to our use of your email address, terminating the newsletter subscription by following the “Unsubscribe” link within the newsletter or by contacting us directly.

Signing up to receive second hand notifications follows the same registration procedure. Please note that signing up for the notifications is independent of the newsletter registration.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses their own cookies that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” to prevent any direct correlation to specific persons. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Treaty on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to servers in the US. The full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there only on an exceptional basis. Google will not associate the IP address transmitted under Google Analytics by your browser with other data held by Google.

Facebook-Pixel

We use Facebook's Facebook pixel on our website. For this we have implemented a code on our website. The Facebook pixel is a snippet of JavaScript code that loads a collection of functions with which Facebook can track your user actions if you have come to our website via Facebook ads. For example, when you purchase a product on our website, the Facebook pixel is triggered and stores your actions on our website in one or more cookies. These cookies enable Facebook to compare your user data (customer data such as IP address, user ID) with the data of your Facebook account. Then Facebook deletes this data again. The data collected is anonymous and not visible to us and can only be used in the context of advertising. If you are a Facebook user yourself and are logged in, your visit to our website will automatically be assigned to your Facebook user account.

We only want to show our services and products to those people who are really interested in them. With the help of Facebook pixels, our advertising measures can be better tailored to your wishes and interests. In this way, Facebook users (if they have allowed personalized advertising) get to see suitable advertising. Furthermore, Facebook uses the collected data for analysis purposes and its own advertisements.

If you are logged in to Facebook, you can change your settings for ads under <https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences/advertisers/ yourself. If you are not a Facebook user, you can generally manage your usage-based online advertising on https://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/?tid=331680765413. There you have the option to deactivate or activate providers.

Facebook processes your data in the USA, among others. We would like to point out that, in the opinion of the European Court of Justice, there is currently no adequate level of protection for data transfer to the USA. This can entail various risks to the lawfulness and security of data processing.

As a basis for data processing by recipients based in third countries (outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, i.e. in particular in the USA) or data transfer there, Facebook uses so-called standard contractual clauses (= Art. 46. (2) and (3) GDPR). Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) are templates provided by the EU Commission and are intended to ensure that your data complies with European data protection standards even if it is transferred to third countries (such as the USA) and stored there. Through these clauses, Facebook undertakes to comply with the European level of data protection when processing your relevant data, even if the data is stored, processed and managed in the USA. These clauses are based on an implementing decision of the EU Commission. You can find the resolution and the corresponding standard contractual clauses here: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dec_impl/2021/914/oj?locale=de

The Facebook Data Processing Terms, which correspond to the Standard Contractual Clauses, can be found at https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/dataprocessing.

If you want to learn more about Facebook's privacy, we recommend the company's own data policy on https://www.facebook.com/policy.php

Google Ads Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Ads Conversion Tracking, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Ads Conversion Tracking also uses cookies that allow analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators, and providing other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or in so far as third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will in no case connect the data with other data from Google. You can generally prevent the use of cookies by prohibiting the storage of cookies in your browser.

Google Maps

This site uses the Google Maps map service via an API. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To use Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. The use of Google Maps is in the interest of making our website appealing and to facilitate the location of places specified by us on the website.
