Passionate companies often begin their journey in a garage. This is also where Peter Orinsky developed and built the very first children’s loft bed for his son Felix 33 years ago. It was very important for him to only use natural materials, provide strong safety features, clean workmanship as well as a high degree of flexibility to ensure long-term use. The sophisticated modular system has been so well received over the years that the successful family business Billi-Bolli emerged – complete with master craftsmen working in our very own Workshop in the east of Munich. By communicating closely with customers Billi-Bolli keeps refining and enhancing their children’s furniture range constantly. After all, satisfied parents and happy children are our greatest motivation. More about us…
The access width of the ladder entry area is 36.8 cm if the bed has a 190 cm or a 200 cm long mattress; 41.8 cm if the mattress is 220 cm long. The rungs are available in round and flat and are always made of beech.
Ladder positions to choose from: A, B, C or D.
The same positions are also available for the slide.
Our kids’ beds can be assembled mirror-inverted. Therefore, two options are possible for the assembly of your slide/ladder position (A, B, C or D): left or right.
If the room has no special requirements, we recommend ladder position A. With this position, you have a greater continuously protected sleeping area compared to position B.
For beds with a 190 cm mattress length or for some of the laterally staggered beds, position B is not possible.
If you choose position C, the ladder or slide is attached to the middle of the short side of the bed.
With position D you mount the ladder or slide on the short side of the bed and shift it to the corner, i.e. nearer to the wall or to the front (possible with the same parts).
When choosing position C or D you will lose wall space (there will not be enough space next to the bed for a wardrobe or shelf).
By the way: Our ladders are also available with flat rungs.
