Passionate companies often begin their journey in a garage. This is also where Peter Orinsky developed and built the very first children’s loft bed for his son Felix 33 years ago. It was very important for him to only use natural materials, provide strong safety features, clean workmanship as well as a high degree of flexibility to ensure long-term use. The sophisticated modular system has been so well received over the years that the successful family business Billi-Bolli emerged – complete with master craftsmen working in our very own Workshop in the east of Munich. By communicating closely with customers Billi-Bolli keeps refining and enhancing their children’s furniture range constantly. If your child is still in the crawling stage and you’re looking for a “small” solution for the children’s bedroom, then our Floor Bed is the perfect choice. The slatted bed base is just above the ground and the sleeping area is equipped with rollout protection all around, except for the access opening. Your child cannot slip off the mattress while sleeping, feeling secure and snug instead, giving you peace of mind.
Like our other kids’ beds, the Floor Bed is part of our modular system, constructed with sturdy 57x57 mm wooden beams (pine or beech). This allows you to transform it into one of our other models at any time. You can use the Floor Bed for your toddler as an entry to the Billi-Bolli world and easily expand it later into a low youth bed or a fully-fledged loft bed adjustable by age by using a conversion set.

The Floor Bed is also available in many different mattress sizes. With a mattress size of 140x200 cm, for example, you can create a small, soft, and cosy play area in the children’s bedroom.
