Assembly heights for our loft beds and bunk beds

You can mount our beds at different assembly heights over the years – they grow with your children. This is particularly easy with our Loft Bed Adjustable by Age since no extra parts need to be purchased. Other models usually only need a few additional parts. Depending on the assembly height, the space underneath the loft bed is suitable for a play shop, a desk or a cool play den.

On this page, you will find additional information about each assembly height, such as our recommended age range and the available space beneath the bed.

First illustration: The assembly heights of our kids’ beds at a glance, using the loft bed adjustable by age as an example (in the drawing: assembly height 4). The extra tall legs (261 or 293.5 cm high) are depicted in the top area, slightly more translucent. They can be attached to the loft bed and other models to raise the top sleeping level even higher.

Children should be at least 6 years of age when using loft beds as well as bunk beds according to the EN 747 standard, where the age indication “over 6 years” originated. However, our beds are equipped with a fall guard that can be as high as 71 cm (excluding the mattress thickness), which exceeds the minimum safety standard requirement of 16 cm. Assembly height 5 with high fall guard is generally not a concern for children aged 5 and above.

Please note that our age recommendations are meant to be taken as suggestions. The suitable assembly height for your child depends on your child’s actual developmental stage and constitution.
