Passionate companies often begin their journey in a garage. This is also where Peter Orinsky developed and built the very first children’s loft bed for his son Felix 34 years ago. It was very important for him to only use natural materials, provide strong safety features, clean workmanship as well as a high degree of flexibility to ensure long-term use. The sophisticated modular system has been so well received over the years that the successful family business Billi-Bolli emerged – complete with master craftsmen working in our very own Workshop in the east of Munich. By communicating closely with customers Billi-Bolli keeps refining and enhancing their children’s furniture range constantly. We offer two very similar cots and a matching changing table, all in solid pine, leached and oiled.The beds differ in the headboard and footboard (once simple, once curved and with ornaments, as with the chest of drawers) and the bed with the ornaments can also be converted into a low toddler bed (photo). Our children have always liked this very much.
The beds have wide rungs, two of which are removable slip rungs. A triple height adjustment of the slatted frame ensures comfortable handling and safety. Dimensions of the beds: 144x80cm (the plain), 144x79cm (with ornaments) The beds show signs of wear but are fully operational. If desired, the mattresses can also be taken along.
The changing table is WHD 104x100x41cm (with clip-on base D 74cm). It has a drawer and two doors, inside a height-adjustable shelf. The chest of drawers offers a lot of storage space and can also be used without the clip-on bottom. The handles on the doors are already a bit loose and should possibly be replaced by other buttons, otherwise only slight signs of wear.
